Erik Surjan: Decathlete

Erik Surjan enjoys competing, and competing at a high level. He spent many years as a competitive athlete, and has participated in Track and Field events all over Australia.

One of Erik Surjan’s events is the decathlon. The decathlon is a classic, grueling event consisting of ten different events. A decathlon traditionally is held over two consecutive days. Participants in the decathlon, such as Erik Surjan, compete in 100 metre, 400 metre, and 1500 metre races, in the long jump, high jump, shot put, 110 metre hurdes, discus throw, pole vault, and javelin throw.

Erik Surjan(Master of Marketing) has also applied himself to his education. He holds degrees in Business Marketing and Business Management from Edith Cowan University, in Perth, Western Australia. He received both of those degrees in 2003. Erik Surjan went on to graduate studies at Monash University in Melbourne, where he received his master of Marketing degree in 2012.

All of this might be enough for many people, but Erik Surjan also enjoys exploring his creative side. He is currently studying acting with Bill McCluskey, the noted Australian actor. Erik Surjan has already appeared in TV ads and in several instructional videos. He has studied with the Sydney Screen Acting Group in its Screen Acting Workshop, and in the Acting Edge with the Actors Centre Australia. He has also taken part in Faith Martin Workshops, run by International casting director Faith Martin, where he studied drama and the camera.

Erik Surjan has also donated much of his free time to worthy causes in Australia, including those for underprivileged children.
